1. New Website for Joint Public Services College

    Crafty Devil successfully delivered an interim website for the Desertcreat College Programme.

    Approval has been secured to build a training college at Desertcreat, on the outskirts of Cookstown. Work is due to begin on the green field site in Co. Tyrone in 2013 and upon completion it will provide training for members of the Police Service of Northern Ireland, the Northern Ireland Fire & Rescue Service and the Northern Ireland Prison Service. The 250 acre site is to become operational in 2015.

    Crafty Devil carried out the design and development of the Programme’s website, together with the provision of related services e.g. search engine optimization (SEO), hosting, domain management and training all within a very short timescale. The site was built using ExpressionEngine, a publishing platform that makes both developing and updating sites extremely straightforward. The aims of the site are to:

    • Assist with the support and promotion of The Desertcreat College Programme;
    • Assist in stimulating local interest in the project thus providing support for its progression;
    • Provide a fast-loading, easily navigable, eye-catching and reliable reference point for stakeholders and interested parties seeking information on the Programme;
    • Provide a platform for interactive communication between its stakeholders and the wider community; and
    • Provide news, information and links relating to the Programme.

    The aim of the College is to transition the interim site to a 'permanent configuration' once branding for the College has been agreed.
